tvOS היא מערכת הפעלה שפותחה על ידי Apple Inc. עבור הדור הרביעי של נגן המדיה הדיגיטלי Apple TV. tvOS הוכרז ב-9 בספטמבר, 2015 באירוע ספטמבר 2015 של Apple, לצד הדור הרביעי של ה- Apple TV.[1] ב-26 באוקטובר, 2015, החלו ההזמנות מראש של דור 4 Apple TV , ומשלוחים החלו בשבוע שאחרי.[2]
